The screening program consists of short animated films by Sasha Svirsky from different years.
SASHA SVIRSKY b.1980 in Soviet Runo village, Stavropol area, USSR.
Graduated as a painter. Self-taught animator. In 2008 began to work as an independent animation film director. Explores the possibilities of digital animation, revising its purpose as an entertainment and applied medium. Uses animation as an artist’s tool, unlocking the potential for visual experiments and creating philosophical narratives and essays.
He has made numerous films. Some of them have received different awards gaining wide international recognition through festivals. His films „My Galactic Twin Galaction“ (2020) and „Vadim on a walk“ (2021), premiered at the Berlinale Shorts.
Since 2013 SASHA SVIRSKY works with his partner NADYA SVIRSKAIA, together they have participated in contemporary art exhibitions with media installations.
JÜRGEN KURZ Improvisationskünstler. Ob am präparierten Flügel, Elektro-Piano oder einem verstaubten Klavier – er bringt die Saiten zum Klingen und die Tasten zum Klirren. Nach dem Studium an der Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin hat er sich als Komponist, Theatermusiker (u.A. Volksbühne Berlin) und Pianist einen Namen gemacht.

ILYICH
ILYICH is a musician and storyteller reincarnated in Kherson, Ukraine.
Augmenting music performances with performance art ILYICH plays live and pilots full sound of electronic music through soul and jazz. Fusing six-string bass and djing with synthesisers, drum machines, string orchestras, and choirs ILYICH shares otherworldly stories of struggle and resolution told from multiple first-person narratives.
In high resonance with dancers and nerds, ILYICH is known for their live music releases with the Nervous Records and the Lot Radio in New York; Gilles Peterson and the BBC 6 Music Radio Rotation; unearthly performances at the Roskilde and Fusion Festivals and discursive occurrences at the Galleries, Museums and cultural spaces including the Serpentine Galleries in London; Sonic Acts in Amsterdam, SAVVY Contemporary, Centre for Contemporary Arts and House of the World Cultures in Berlin among others.
